Our Company
WINCsoft is the content development division of WINner’s Circle that Dr. Adelaide Kang founded in 2001. As a scholar of philosophy and educational pedagogy, Dr. Kang was deeply influenced by the great Greek philosopher Socrates. Plato extensively depicts Socrates’ heuristic approach that led his interlocutors to reach clarity in matters of virtue, knowledge, and the nature of existence. Dr. Kang was much impressed by this and felt inspired to devise a new literary curriculum that employs elements of Socratic pedagogy.
To materialize her vision, Dr. Kang invited seasoned educators from prominent institutions like Phillips Exeter, Deerfield, Choate, Taft, Milton, Cranbrook Schools and such. Together, we created an innovative, interactive social education curriculum to enhance students’ logical, critical, creative, and empathetic capacity. The fruit of their 5-year labor is the WINC Q Series which has been demanded and taught around the world. WINCsoft aspires to continue its mission by expanding its collection to traditionally overlooked writers such as women writers and writers of color. We believe robust humanities education can have a lasting impact on individuals, which in turn, can elevate the larger society to be more sensible and compassionate. WINCsoft is committed to that positive change.
